A handful of antique square cut nails, more commonly known as coffin nails. They are
hand forged and made of iron. Way back when, families made their own wooden coffins when one of their members passed on. Supplies for doing so were always kept on hand, which included nails like these. These particular nails were made around 1861-1915 and were found in a mason jar in an old house. They have never been used.
Coffin nails can be used in many metaphysical practices and can be carriedas a protective talisman. Some practitioners claim that a coffin nail removed from a coffin that once held a corpse. Not something I’d want to mess with, though. Seems kinda rude, don’t you think?
